The Voice of Change,
The Vision for
Growth.

Strong neighborhoods are the foundation of a strong city.

Why I’m Running

Over the years I’ve worked on issues ranging from voter access to criminal justice reform, and those experiences taught me something important: the challenges our communities face are deeply connected. Housing stability, mental health, economic opportunity, and public safety all shape the strength of our neighborhoods.

The place where these issues come together most clearly isn’t Lansing or Washington. It’s right here in the Third Ward. That’s why I’m running — to work with residents to build practical solutions that strengthen our neighborhoods and expand opportunity across our community.

3rd Ward Native Son

I grew up in the Third Ward and have spent years working alongside residents, neighborhood leaders, and community organizations committed to improving our city. Through that work, I’ve seen firsthand how strong partnerships can create real progress — from expanding opportunity for young people to supporting local businesses and strengthening neighborhood safety.

But I’ve also seen how many residents feel their voices aren’t always heard in the decisions that affect their daily lives. That’s something we can change. Because the best ideas for the future of our city are already here — in our neighborhoods, our small businesses, and our community organizations.

Priorities for the Third Ward

Every neighborhood deserves the opportunity to thrive. These priorities reflect the issues residents raise most often — and the partnerships we need to move our community forward.

  • Community Safety Through Trust

Supporting solutions that strengthen trust between residents and public safety institutions.

  • Youth and Family Support

Investing in programs and partnerships that strengthen families and expand opportunities for young people.

  • Housing Stability and Neighborhood Investment

Advocating for policies that protect residents while encouraging responsible development.

  • Economic Opportunity

Ensuring small businesses and local entrepreneurs have pathways to grow and succeed.

Our community deserves to be heard — and represented.

The Story Behind the Campaign

This campaign began with a simple belief: the future of Grand Rapids will not be shaped by one leader alone.

It will be shaped by the collective energy of residents who believe in their neighborhoods and are willing to work together to improve them. Over the coming months, I’ll be spending time across the Third Ward listening to residents, meeting with neighborhood organizations, and learning directly from the people who know these communities best. Because the ideas that will move our city forward are already here. Our job is to bring those voices together — and turn them into action.
